Instructions for Gmail and Outlook
Remove Inbox Categories in Gmail:
- Log into your Gmail account.
- Click the gear icon in the top-right corner to open the Gmail settings.
- Choose Default as your Inbox Type.
- Click the Customize button to select which message categories appear as inbox tabs.
- Under Categories, uncheck the boxes next to Promotions, Social, Updates, etc.
- Scroll down and click the Save Changes button.
Mark Email Addresses as Safe Sender in Microsoft Outlook:
- Log into your Outlook account.
- On the Home tab in the Ribbon, click the Junk icon.
- From the drop-down list, select Junk Email Options.
- Go to the Safe Senders tab.
- Click Add.
- In the dialog box, enter @artandwriting.org.
- Click OK.
- Click Apply to save changes. Emails from this sender will now be prevented from automatically going to your Junk Email folder.
